Bloodmoon-style Leveling

The following information now only applies to the Bloodmoon versions of Giants: Ultimate. Regular Morrowind and Tribunal versions do not use Bloodmoon-style leveling in the final build of Giants: Ultimate.

GIANTS Ultimate uses "Bloodmoon-style Leveling" This method basically puts leveled lists within leveled lists. This style of leveling creatures allows for each species to get a (more or less) EQUAL chance of spawning in the world. Some species have MANY more varieties than others so, before, the species with more varieties (namely GAINTS') would naturally occupy more slots in a leveled list spawn. The drawback was that since GIANTS' occupied more slots they had a higher chance of showing up. Now each species with all its varieties is put into its own special "species" leveled list. Those "species" lists then are put within the FINAL spawn and only occupy ONE slot in the FINAL spawning leveled list along with single creatures. The final result is that the "species list" (randomly selecting one of its many varieties) has an equal chance of showing up as the single creatures do in the game. A whole species and a single creature each now occuppy ONE slot in the FINAL spawn. Bethesda's and GIANTS' creatures now spawn at an equal rate.

Bloodmoon-style Leveling does not work well with most other creature mods that don't use this same style of leveling. What could occur is that the other creature mod's creatures will "outspawn" the ones in this mod and you may never see any of GIANTS' creatures. GIANTS: Ultimate and (the upcomming) Wilderness Mod 2.0 are the only creature mods currently using this style of leveling (that could change in the future).

Update: Giants Ultimate has been tested extensively with Morrowind Advanced and (when using the Leveled List Merger program) do to MW Advanced's small amount of new creatures, happens to work quite well together.

You will notice in this side by side example that each GIANTS' species are being designeted by special colors.

EXAMPLE: The "old" method of Leveling (GIANTS: Tribunal)

In the old method you can see that since the creatures GIANTS adds are added "alone" each one is occupying a slot in the leveled list (in_tomb_all_lev+0). As you can see there are 4 Zombies, 3 Ascended Mummies, 3 (Giants) tomb ghosts and 2 of each of the remaining species in that list. You will also notice that Bethesda's creatures (leveled 1-9, ancestor ghost - skeleton champion) each occupy only ONE slot each. Now, its easy to see that GIANTS' creatures will "outspawn" Bethesda's once Level 28 is reached because of the sheer number of GIANTS' creatures.
EXAMPLE: The same leveled list with new Bloodmoon-Style Leveling
As you can see that with Bloodmoon-style leveling, each species is put into its own leveled list. That list inturn only occupies ONE slot in the final leveled list (in_tomb_all_lev+0). All of GIANTS' varieties will show up but on equal footing with Bethesda's. You may notice that even with the extra creatures "Ultimate" adds (Rot Worms, Wraiths, Phantoms...) the new list is still smaller. And, since GIANTS' lists are leveled, the "in_GIANTS_Ghost_01", for example, you can see that even though that is placed at level 1 in the final list (in_tomb_all_lev+0) the stronger ghosts are assigned to higher levels in the special (in_GIANTS_Ghost_01) list. (see example below)
