INSTALLING mods
please note that the words "plugin" and "mod" are used interchangeably
When you are going to install mods you need to know about the files and paths in which Morrowind is installed on your computer.
Morrowind by default is installed (if C is the main letter of your harddrive) C:\Program files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind
Inside the Morrowind folder there are four folders. The "Data files" folder is the one that is important for installing mods.
Inside that folder you will find 8 other folders (including Sound,Icons,BookArt, Meshes, Textures...etc.) that hold specific files that your mods will use in order for them to work. You will also find the files with the ".esp" extention which are the main mod plugin files.
Some mods simply have a Data Files folder of there own which you need to overwrite the Morrowind Data Files folder with it.
Some have the specific folders that reside inside the Data Files (Sound,Icons,BookArt, Meshes, Textures...etc.) and you will need to overwrite the ones in Morrowind with those.
